Outstanding Talents
Candidates are required to have deep scientific literacy, broad academic perspectives, and significant systematic, creative achievements or breakthroughs in the relevant field. They should possess high recognition and academic influence both domestically and internationally.
Leading Talents
1. Candidates are required to have a high level of academic achievements, having obtained a set of high-quality original research results in the field of the respective discipline. They should possess significant recognition and academic influence both domestically and internationally.
2. Candidates should hold a professional position at a renowned domestic university or research institution, or hold a position of associate professor or above at a prestigious overseas university or research institution.
High-level Young Talents
(1) The candidate should hold a doctorate degree, preferably with a formal faculty position at overseas universities, research institutions, or corporate research and development institutions, and have a continuous work experience of more than 3 years. For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas with outstanding achievements, the work experience requirements may be appropriately relaxed.
(2) The candidate should be capable of teaching core undergraduate courses, have outstanding academic achievements, possess strong team leadership and coordination skills, demonstrate great potential for innovation and further development, and have the ability to promote or lead the relevant discipline towards a world-class level.
(3) The age limit is generally not exceeding 40 years old. For candidates in the humanities and social sciences, the age limit may be flexible.
(1) The candidate should possess a doctorate degree, ideally with 1 year or more of postdoctoral research experience. For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas with outstanding achievements, the work experience requirements may be appropriately relaxed.
(2) The candidate shall have achieved internationally recognized high-level research results, demonstrating outstanding development potential, and the prospect of becoming a young talent in the respective discipline.
(3) The age limit is generally not exceeding 35 years old. For candidates in the humanities and social sciences, the age limit may be flexible.
We welcome overseas outstanding young talents to apply for the 2024 National Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas) and related talent programs based on the university. The specific requirements are as follows:

Outstanding Reserve Talents

(2) The candidate should have a solid foundation of scientific research including academic achievements, great potential and innovative thinking.

The university is recruiting for the above positions on a long-term basis. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for various national and Shanghai talent programs. If selected, substantial increases in housing subsidies and research start-up funds will be provided.

Introduction to ECNU
On October 16, 1951, East China Normal University (ECNU) was founded based on the Great China University (1924) and Kwang Hua University (1925), while incorporating some other departments from St. John’s University, etc.
Funded by the state, administered by the Ministry of Education, and jointly supervised by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Government, ECNU is a comprehensive research university in China sponsored by the national top university programs “Project 211” and “Project 985”.
In 2017, ECNU was one of the 36 Class A universities on the list of Double First-Class University Plan released by the central government of China, embarking on a new journey towards a world-class university with its roots in China. With two beautiful campuses located in Minhang and Putuo districts of Shanghai, ECNU has long been known as one of the most beautiful campuses in China.

2.紫江青年学者（青年拔尖人才）：
①具有博士学位，原则上应具有1年及以上的博士后研究经历；在海外取得博士学位且业绩特别突出的，可适当放宽工作年限要求。
②已取得同行公认的高水平研究成果，有突出的发展潜质，并有望成为所在学科的青年领军人才。
③年龄一般不超过35周岁，人文社科类可放宽年龄要求。
