英国永居（Indefinite Leave to Remain，简称 ILR）是一种长期居留权。获取永居的人将在英国无限期居住、工作和学习，而无需受移民签证的限制。获得永居后，可享受与英国公民几乎相同的权利，例如医疗、教育和社会福利，但仍保留原国籍。获得永居满一年之后，才将有资格申请入籍，成为英国居民，并申请英国护照。
根据签证类型的不同，永居申请条件也不同，具体如下：
1. 持工签满5年
2. 任意12个月间离开英国的天数不超过180天
3. 雇主的担保信
4. 满足£38,700年薪标准
5. 通过Life in the UK考试
1. 配偶为英国国籍或英国永居持有者
2. 伴侣关系长期且持续稳定
3. 双人收入需满足£29,000标准
4. 通过Life in the UK考试；口语和听力至少达到 B1 级，或拥有以英语授课或研究的学位
1. 在英国合法居住连续10年以上
2. 任何连续12个月内累积离境天数不能超过180天
3. 递交永居签证时，必须已持有当下合法签证至少一年
4. 通过Life in the UK考试
1. 获得英国科学院、皇家工程院、皇家学会或英国研究与创新署、英格兰艺术委员会的认可，在英国居住3年后可申请永居
2. 在3年内创造了500万英镑的商业收入，在英国居住3年后可申请永居
3. 持有Tier 1 (Investor)签证，具体几年后可申请永居，根据投资金额判定
4. 任何连续12个月内累积离境天数不能超过180天

申请英国永居所需材料如下：
1. 有效护照（Passport）及复印件
2. 有效的英国居留许可证明，比如打印出显示你英国居留状态的eVisa以及share code
3. 彩色照片2张
4. 地址证明，比如银行账单、房屋合同等等
5. Life in the UK考试通过证明
7. 语言证明：英国大学毕业证或B1以上语言证书
雇主担保信：证明将继续在这家公司任职。信中需写明工资、年假天数、SOC、申请人的工作岗位等一些重要信息。
第二步：通过 Life in the UK考试
第三步：填写英国永居申请表；
第四步：准备材料并上传；
第五步：线上预约生物信息采集，包括指纹和面部扫描；
第六步：面签；
第七步：申请成功将会收到电子信函。
目前，英国申请永居需支付 £3,029。如果申请priority service加急服务，需支付£500；若申请super priority service，需支付£1,000。
Life in the UK，这个考试是申请英国永居或者成为英国公民之前必须要通过的一项考试。单次报名费为£50，至少提前3天进行考试预约，预约考试需要提供BRP/护照/带照片的旅行证件、储蓄卡/信用卡、邮箱。
