研究方向为生态系统的稳定性与韧性。综合遥感、空间分析、统计模型、动力学模型和实验等多种研究手段,在宏观尺度上研究气候变化与人类活动影响以及临界转换与自组织等复杂性机理如何共同塑造系统稳定性与韧性;并将基础研究转化为现实生态问题解决方案,重点关注脆弱生态系统(如湿地生态系统与干旱区生态系统等)的退化与恢复,以及人类-自然耦合系统(如城市生态系统)的可持续性等问题。
